Where it all begins

We are lucky to source most of our apples from the beautiful Venn Orchard – less than a mile from the Cider Shed. Planted as a demonstration Devon cider orchard by Orchards Live 20 odd years ago – its contains a good variety of traditional varieties such as Fair Maid of Devon and Tom Putt, as well as some less well known ones such as Bickington Grey and Pendragon.

We are also buy in some apples from other traditional unsprayed local orchards as well as offering a “fruit for cider” deal to locals with a tree or two producing more apples than they can use.
